Directions to The Sky Gypsy Complex
The best way to get here from Tucson is to take I10 East to New Mexico. After crossing into New Mexico you will want to watch for Rt 80 South. Turn south on Rt80 and watch your speed limit as there is usually a speed trap set up for out of State vehicles. Take Rt80 about 20 miles, you will see a sign on the left that says Sky Gypsy Complex 3 1/2 miles. You are going to that complex. The road to watch for that you will turn on is Palomas….dirt road, turn left (east) follow to the tee which is Chuparrosa….turn left (north) follow past the Sky Gypsy Complex (Red Building with airplane hangars and Greenhouse) to the first left…you will see the house from that turn…brown house with brown hangar detached on the right side. You can park in between the hangar and the house to go into the back door. The back door will be open and the Key will be on the table. You might want to get groceries before heading down as there is limited supplies here.
Rodeo New Mexico
“This home was spacious, perfect for a family or group of friends that want to get away into the desert. Peter was very accomadating, and allowed us to roam his property in search of critters to photograph and study. We wanted remote, and we got it. Verizon is said to be the only reliable phone service. We did not care to have service, but there was wifi and a landline. The beds were comfortable, full kitchen and clean bathrooms. Thank you again!”
As an amateur astronomer from Canada, staying for 12 days in the dark skies of Rodeo was a real treat!
The place was a palace compared to what I am used to, and has all the amenities one could ever need.
Peter was certainly very accommodating. He even accepted the pre-arrival shipment of my telescope.
Many thanks too to Judy & Bob
Cozy Stay.We loved the peace and quiet and beautiful surroundings. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Great job Peter: Very comfy! Enjoyed birding on South Fork Trail and the $5 visits at Cave Creek Ranch. The visit to Bob & Marsha was the best birding ever.
Take Care and Thank You!
